Lithology and Thickness

Reddish and light brown siltstone (aleurolites), sandstones, conglomerates. Thickness up to 600 m.

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Conformably overlies or overlies with erosion on the Bogustan Fm

Upper contact

Conformably overlain by the Aksakata Fm.

Regional extent

Prishashkent region. Forms the lower part of the Murzabat Fm (166). According to B.I. Pinhasov, enters the composition of the upper Pliocene - Eopleistocene brown-colored molasse formation of the Upper TienShan Gr. Corresponds to the upper part of the section of the upper Pliocene Gidzhal Fm and the Toytyubin Fm.
